HACKMANITE
In the 1800s, certain sodalite specimens from Greenland revealed a striking pink hue when freshly broken, this led to the discovery of one of the first tenebrescent stones – Hackmanite.
A rare variation of Sodalite first unearthed in Greenland in 1896. Hackmanite is a violet-colored gemstone and gradually fades to a subdued gray when exposed to sunlight or ultraviolet light. Hackmanite's captivating color-shifting phenomenon doesn't end there. This remarkable gemstone mined from countries like Myanmar (Burma) are the most prized possession for collectors as it undergoes a mesmerizing transformation from white or clear stones to a shift towards reddish-pink or violet hues when exposed to sunlight.
Hackmanite specimens exhibit a remarkable fluorescence, with the brightest fluorescence typically observed under longwave ultraviolet light, emanating a radiant yellow or orange glow.

CHAMELEON DIAMOND
SKU 11556 :Chameleon Diamond - 1.96 cts
Chameleon diamonds are a unique category of diamonds known for their ability to undergo color changes when subjected to heat or exposure to ultraviolet (UV) rays.
When a chameleon diamond is heated, you can observe a noticeable transformation in its color, typically from green to a yellowish-orange hue. This same color shift occurs when the diamond is exposed to UV rays, such as those from the sun. It's essential to note that this color change is temporary in nature.
Interestingly, once the diamond is removed from the heat source or taken out of the UV light, it swiftly reverts to its original green color, often within a matter of seconds. This remarkable reversibility is a defining feature of chameleon diamonds.
Furthermore, the same intriguing color-change phenomenon can be observed when the diamond is left in darkness for an extended period, typically over 24 hours. This environmental factor also triggers the temporary color alteration, highlighting the diamond's chameleon-like nature.
Chameleon diamonds are highly prized for their rarity and captivating ability to exhibit these reversible color changes, making them a fascinating and sought-after gemstone among collectors and enthusiasts.
