Discovered in 1989 near the village of São José da Batalha, the Paraiba Tourmaline created quite an impression in the gem market - for its exquisite colors and quality were too unique to forget. The Paraibas that we have in stock have been sourced from the Batalha mines of Brazil after quite an ordeal, considering the scarcity of its existence, considering that we might not have the luxury of seeing fresh gemstones arrriving from these mines again.
